Lunenburg Folk Fiesta 2011

YouTube Preview Image

A video from my first performance following the completion of the Canadian Girl project. Part I (of 2) from the Lunenburg Folk Fiesta at The Pearl on March 26th. A fabulous, fast and fun night – this is the first half of a twenty minute set. Great night, warm audience… in fact everyone in front of, on and behind the stage were fantastic! This part of the set includes the my a capella song “Ode To The Fisher Daughter” and title track from my album “Canadian Girl.” Fab Kev Corbett on guitar and one of CBC’s finest, Stephanie Doment emceeing.

Penguin Eggs Article: January 2012

”Canadian Girl can certainly be regarded as an unqualified artistic success…its 13 songs evoke the spirit and beauty of Canada’s natural and human landscape, largely without wandering into the realm of the precious and self-conscious.”  Ste-Croix is a “…born storyteller and celebrated onstage raconteur…the voluable singer (did we mention she is a wonderful vocalist) …a true Canadian Girl.” Alan Kellogg, Penguin Eggs/the folk, roots and world music magazine.
